Owned for 25 years by Efrain Botrel, Fazenda Aguas Claras is located in the South of Minas Gerais. In the municipality of Ilicinea there is a small population of 12,444 people, recorded in 2020. In the mountainous region at an altitude ranging from 1200-1400 metres above sea level, the favoured area has excellent soil and a prime microclimate for producing unique, quality coffees.

Quality coffee starts in this farm with the careful selection of seedlings and planting practices. And extends all the way through to post harvest fermentation and drying processes. With 206 hectares growing only coffee, Efrain puts great enthusiasm and energy into the pursuit of quality coffee. This particular naturally processed coffee is dried on the patio floor for 5 days, then 4 days in the static dryer, and finally resting in the granary for 15 days. This natural process has resulted in a gentle and creamy acidity, in a well balanced cup with notes of Cherry, Cream and Dark Chocolate.
