The municipality of Gigante is located in the center of the Huila department, with a population of 33,000. This area is rich in forest, rivers and streams, and sits approximately 1300-1900 metres above sea level. 

El Desarollo is the Association of Coffee Growers in Gigante, and consists of 220 small and medium sized producers. This fully washed coffee has been sun dried on patios with a parabolic plastic roof.
